Lon Las Ultra 2017 is a 253 mile multiday race from Holyhead in the Northwest of Wales to Cardiff in the South.
This self-supported race follows cycle route 8 and has a time limit of 89 hours, which makes this a very challenging event.
The race started yesterday, Thursday 12th October at 7:00 am and the race finishes in Cardiff Bay at the Terminus of the Taff Trail at midnight on Sunday night.
Its just after midnight on Friday night, about 41 hours in and there are 10 runners left of the 28 starters.
The race is being led by Ronnie Staton and early leader Mike Raffan in second place with Brian Clary in third.
