Ultra X Wales 2023 by Asics is a 220km 5 day stage race that takes place in and around southern Snowdonia in North Wales following a number of famous trails – including the Glyndwr’s Way National Trail, the Wales Coastal Path, the Minffordd Path and the Cross Britain Path – as it weaves its way over the stunning lakes and mountains for which southern Snowdonia is famous, including the Cadair Idris, Rhinogydd and Aran Fawddwy ranges.
This is not a self-supported race. Participants only need to carry their daily provisions of mandatory safety equipment, nutrition, and hydration.
At the end of Day 1 the womens leader was Rebecca Hoare and first home amongst the men was Tom Eddie.
Day 2, 33.5 kms with 1400m of elevation, saw both leaders consolidate their leads with Caroline Roden coming in second for the women and third was Bea Williams.
In the men’s race race Tom Eddie leads Paul Mansi and just behind Paul is Joshua Seaman.
Ultra X 110 Wales by Asics (110km two-stage race) takes place on the final two days of Ultra X Wales.
Ultra X 50 Wales by Asics (50km single-stage race) takes place on the final day (Sunday) of Ultra X Wales.
